Church Planting

Since 2003 God has allowed us to help start churches. We began our ministry in the small town of Ojojona. This town is about 45 minutes from the capital city and has a population of about 10,000. Light of the World Baptist church was founded in 2003 and since then has helped start many other churches in nearby communities. Their national pastor, Gustavo Silva, took over in 2013.

In 2014, the Lord moved us to Danli, El Paraiso. We partnered with another missionary to train men and women for the ministry. In 2018, the Lord opened the door to begin a full-time training center for young men and women. Bethlehem Baptist Seminary has since had two graduating classes with several missionaries and pastors heading out to plant more churches.

In 2016, God allowed us to help start Faith Baptist Church in the neighboring town of El Paraiso. They currently have their own national pastor, Yeri Geraldo, and send some of their young people to the Bible college.

Military + Police
Back in our early ministry, God allowed us to meet the electrician for the President of Honduras. He was saved, baptized, and married under the church in Ojojona. Ruben Zelaya explained the need for a chaplain who would be willing to come preach from the Bible for free. Now every Thursday at 7 a.m. the soldiers who protect the president hear the Word of God.
Because of the ministry with the military, the police in the city of Danli have asked us to be their chaplain as well. Every Wednesday morning men from the Bible college go preach to the police of our city. Since this ministry has started they have asked our church to join them as they go around the communities. They help us pass out Bibles and ask us to share the gospel with the small towns.

Training
Our heart has been to help the nationals start churches both in Honduras and all around the world. In 2014 we started the Bethlehem Baptist Institute. We held classes at night after work. Many of the local church members took advantage of this opportunity and graduated from the institute. In 2018, God opened the door for us to begin full-time classes during the day. This allowed young men and women from all around the country to come to train for full-time ministry. Our students are able to study from other ministry leaders, and then put into practice what they heard in the classroom. The Bethlehem Baptist Seminary has had 2 graduating classes and has had the privilege to be a part of sending 2 missionaries!

Pastor's Training Week
In 2015, our home church came down to Honduras. We were able to sit down and plan out a week where pastors from all over Central America could come and get encouragement, training, and materials to help them in their ministries. Since then we have been able to host men from Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and even Guatemala. Every year these pastors get Bibles, tracts, and other materials that they need to help their churches.  We have been blessed to have a conference center in which these men can stay, eat, fellowship, and learn!
